Dr Ann-Marie Munday

I have worked within the NHS for 20 years, working predominately within Adult Mental Health Services. Over the last 13 years I have worked with adults with complex, severe, and enduring mental health difficulties, with a specialist interest in working with complex PTSD and trauma.

I specialise in providing psychological therapy to adults experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties, particularly with adults who have suffered trauma.

Common difficulties that I might work with include feelings of emptiness, depression, numbed feelings, or anxiety.

It may be feelings of unhappiness or unfulfillment in relationships.

Life can feel out of control or feel hard to find what you want or how to get it. We may be plagued by difficult thoughts of the past which may present as nightmares or flashbacks.

I would work with you to carefully understand the difficulties you bring and help you to make the emotional and psychological changes you want, enabling you to lead the fulfilled life you long for and deserve. I offer a space which is compassionate, safe and non-judgmental.

I have extensive training and experience in using a range of psychological therapy approaches including:

- Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR)

- Psychodynamic approaches

- I am currently undertaking a Core Training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)

 - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

- Structured Clinical Management (SCM)

Please see Qualifications for further details

The approach I take depends on the particular difficulties and issues an individual brings to therapy, and can be tailored as required.

If you would like to discuss working with me in therapy, you are welcome to contact me to arrange a free 15-minute telephone consultation.

I am also passionate about supporting and developing other professionals, providing supervision, consultation and training.
